Common Sense Media age: 12+ Violence 4/5
My age recommendation: 11+ (Due to violence).
Don't be fooled by the name of this movie, the heroes barely fight each other. The plot is basically when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles find out that Shredder is in Gotham, they decide to go there. After having encounters with Gotham's villains, Batman finds out, and he's not happy. When the Ninja Turtles find Batman, they have an epic showdown, only to realize that they both fight crime. When they all discover that Shredder and Ra's Al Ghul are teaming to mutate the whole city of Gotham, Batman and the Ninja Turtles team up for an epic battle. Was this movie epic, or is it another lame cartoon for kids. In my opinion, this movie blew my mind. The plot had meaning and it wasn't rushed throughout the movie. The animations were great and detailed. And the characters had time to develop throughout the movie so that it was clear what each character was meant to do. My only issue that kept this movie from a 5-star rating was the amount of violence. There was a bit too much of it (keep in mind this movie has a PG-13 rating for strong and intense violence), and a little less violence wouldn't hurt the movie or the plot at all. Overall, this is a great movie for any DC superhero fans.
