My Age Recommendation: 13+ (Due to some violence, strong language, and brief sexual scenes.)
When I heard this movie was only released in theaters for a week, that is usually a red flag for me. This sometimes means the movie didn't do well in box office numbers so it went straight to streaming platforms. After only 24 hours of this movie being on Netflix, positive reviews skyrocketed and over 82 million views were accounted. I was shocked to learn that this movie is now the third most viewed Netflix movie ever, and this statement sealed the deal for family movie night. The story follows detective Benoit Blanc who was invited to a billionaire named Miles Bron's private island for an annual vacation hosted for his closest friends. The only thing is, Blanc has never known Miles a day in his life, and yet the invitation was sent to him. When someone turns up dead during the seemingly fun vacation, the true colors of Miles' friends start to show, and the culprit is amongst them. Can Benoit Blanc figure out this mystery? Let me say, this was an amazing movie. The twists were so much better than the first movie, and same goes for the character development and plot execution. There weren't any flaws with the story or the ending explanation, and the plot twists were placed well throughout the movie and kept me interested. The plot was not rushed in the beginning, rather it kept a steady pace throughout the entire film. Overall, this is an amazing movie that is better than the first one, and I think it deserves to be Netflix's third most watched movie of all time.
