My Age Recommendation: 15+ (Due to strong bloody violence throughout, strong language, and brief partial nudity).
A few years ago, I watched the two Kingman movies that came out which are on this page. I was surprised on how clever, hilarious, and violent a British spy film could be, and I was really hoping this series could become a trilogy. A few months after watching The Golden Circle, I got a brief but well-made ad for the third movie in the Kingsman franchise. After many delays due to the pandemic, the movie was finally available to stream. Did it hold up with the other movies? The story takes place in 1902 where a young Conrad witnesses his mother's death. A decade later, WWI is about to start as Conrad and his father use their wealth and social status to try and stop this war from starting. They soon realize that their plans keep failing because a secret organization containing the world's most dangerous leaders are hiding around the world, influencing world leaders and politicians to get what they want. Conrad and his father assemble a team of people who they know and start to work in a secret bunker in their house. Can they stop this organization from starting a World War? Let me say, this was a decent movie. The character development was good, and there were some emotional moments which were executed well. There were sometimes where things did not make any sense since there are many storylines that are connected. One specific scene (without spoilers) has the Duke of Oxford (Conrad's Dad) saved by a goat when it comes to bite the Duke's assailant. I thought this was very random and not practical. Another problem I had was that this movie did not feel like a 'Kingsman' film since the movie focused more on stopping a war and a secret organization (which was not the Kingsman organization). They focused more on the enemy organization than the creation of Kingman, and the only thing reminding me this is a Kingsman movie was the not-so-subtle scenes of characters walking into the Kingman tailor shop. The things keeping me from giving this a lower rating are the beautiful fight scenes with excellent choreography and suiting music that aligns with the fight. I also loved the great scenes of the mountains and castles, and it was visually stunning. Overall, this is a decent movie for Kingsman fans, but it is more of a war movie than a spy one.
