It was another family movie night in my house and we chose this movie. The reviews seemed decent and I liked the actors in it so I said why not. Big mistake to say the least! The story follows a famous romance novelist named Loretta Sage who is on tour for her newest book. When she gets kidnapped after the tour by a billionaire, the cover model for the hero/love interest of her books named Alan goes off to save her and prove that he can be like the hero he covers for. The billionaire says that the book Loretta has been writing about with a 'Lost City' in it is actually real and he wants help finding it. When Loretta refuses to give enough answers to suffice for the billionaire, Loretta and Alan have to escape them together if they want to make it back alive. Can they escape? Let me say, this movie was terrible. The story was garbage with a lot of holes and pacing issues. Some of the characters were okay but most of them were not developed and flat throughout the entire movie. The jokes are the only thing keeping this movie from a one star rating. More on the pacing, the entire movie was rushed so much even though they had enough time to develop everything. The bad pacing plus the bad characters made the ending very unsatisfying and the end credits scene even more unnecessary. The cheesy dialogue placed throughout the movie did not sit right with me, and my entire family was outraged at how bad this movie was. Overall, this is an extremely bad movie with comedy being the only thing going for it.
